The Study Guide contains activity materials and readings for participants‚ use during the workshop. It also serves as a handy reference following the workshop experience. The DVD, Why Reading Is Hard, provides examples of what makes learning to read in English hard and leads viewers to examine the reading skills that they know and use automatically.
The workshop format is flexible and may follow a number of different schedules, depending on school and district needs. The complete program requires 45 hours but is easily adapted to local needs and time frames.
The complete package contains the Trainer's Manual, Study Guide, and DVD Why Reading is Hard. Why Reading is Hard can be purchased separately.
Study Guides are required for each workshop participant as well. You may order those from the CAL Store by clicking here.
